“We used Funk Appeal for our wedding entertainment in June 2025 and we could not recommend them enough! We had previously seen them at our friend’s wedding and we knew at that point that we would always want them for ours.
They provided a variety of options/musical styles which meant we were able to use them for the whole of our wedding day. We had a two person Jazz band for the reception drinks, a 5 person band (including a singer) for the evening and a DJ set afterwards for the last hour, they provided all their own equipment including lighting and were flexible on were we wanted them to play and timings of the day.
The band were amazing, they kept everyone on the dance floor all night! The band learnt our first dance song and played it exactly how I imagined it to be as I wanted some changes from the original, they were also very accommodating when we asked if they were able to learn another song for the evening. Jimmy was great throughout the day, making sure that all our music was set up for when we needed it, including music throughout dinner and a mic for the speeches.
We would 100% recommend them for anyone who is in need of music for any event! ”

We really enjoyed working with Funk Appeal for our London wedding in August 2025. We opted for a seven-piece band and cannot recommend them highly enough. Jimmy and the band were very responsive to our questions on email and even arranged a site visit to our rather unusual venue to ensure everything would run smoothly on the day. They shared a suggested track list and we were able to add a few personal requests. We also had a very specific vision for our first dance, and they brilliantly combined two of our favourite songs into one perfect moment. On the day, they delivered a fantastic mix of music, from Aretha Franklin and Earth, Wind & Fire to Britney Spears, keeping the dance floor alive from start to finish!

Funk Appeal played at our wedding (5 piece band and sound technician) and they were fabulous! From start to finish they were true professionals, prompt and reliable in their communication and passionate about providing us with an amazing experience.
They showed up early on the day to check out the venue and set up, and they raced through the sound check when our speeches overran (massively appreciated)!
The musicians were phenomenal and their enthusiasm was infectious - we danced all night. They were just brilliant and I recommend them to everyone.
